In Mark of the Ninja, by Klei Entertainment, you play a nameless and silent ninja against the backdrop of a modern day setting. The plot revolves around your ninja clan (you playing the clans best/lead young ninja) getting revenge on a contemporary mercenary army who (in the opening level) attack your home base to wipe your clan out. Also in something of a plot twist for later (as well as an explanation for a few of your near superhuman abilities; which you’ll also unlock later), it is explained that in this ninja clan the best and brightest ninjas (that means you) get a kick-ass dragon tattoo using some type of semi-mystical ink.
